Bill Mears is one of the most recognized names in commercial real estate within South-central Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Bill is a principal & one of the founding partners of Coldwell Banker Commercial McGuire Mears & Associates. He is a licensed real estate broker in Wisconsin and Illinois.
A well-respected commercial real estate industry veteran, Bill earned two of the most prestigious commercial real estate designations– SIOR and CCIM, a combination that is held by less than 1% of all brokers. In addition, he has been recognized by Coldwell Banker Commercial as one of its top producers nationwide.
He led McGuire Mears & Associates to seven straight years as Coldwell Banker Commercial’s top brokerage firm in the state of Wisconsin. While helping the office garner nationwide recognition for production Bill earned Coldwell Banker Commercial’s Circle of Distinction awards in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008.
Prior to his career as a commercial broker Bill served as president of several economic development corporations established by private sector initiatives at the county level in and around SE Michigan. With over 20 years of experience working with business leaders and municipalities Bill gained a great deal of experience in getting deals done that benefit the community and the businesses that he assisted.
Bill’s roots are definitively Midwest. He was born in Indiana within the shadow of the Indy 500 and traveled to Detroit, Michigan with his mother & father who was an executive with GM. He attended Western Michigan University where he earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree.
